This charming, light-filled old house, built in the 19th century, has retained its authentic Swedish countryside feel. While its interior has been extensively modernized with beautiful, open, almost minimalist spaces, its facade has not been transformed by its owners, and blends into its Scandinavian landscape as if it had always been there.
Here we find a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, with whitewashed walls and designer furniture such as the N701 modular leather sofas from Ethnicraft (a good alternative to Roset’s Togos if you want higher seating but the same spirit of comfort and lightness). The restored parquet flooring, the old patinated wooden doors, the colorful antique floor tiles and the miller’s ladder to reach an upstairs bedroom all bear witness to a habitat from another era that has managed to renew itself and create a charming, luminous home of our time.
